Probably won't throw up any more limericks, but if for some reason you've enjoyed the friday limericks nonsense I used to do, please consider spending $1 to buy your own personal PDF version of The Magaiad: Nonsense Verse for a Nonsense 'Verse. I'm trying to drum up some money to pay for website maintenance and cover some print projects I'm working on. I'll put a link in a comment below. Peace and stuff.

@AlanGood May want to post your link in an initial message rather than a reply, fam. Can't click on it on the app.

Hullo,

This is just to say that from now until the end of the trump presidency all profits from books sold through my website will be donated to an immigrants rights organization called the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services. Among other work, RAICES provides legal counsel to unaccompanied immigrant children and covers bond for immigrants in ICE detention. Here is their website: https://www.raicestexas.org/about/.

          Books are here:

BG_Davies

Hey, is this the guy who reviews books for you? https://fee.org/articles/what-the-critics-get-wrong-about-atlas-shrugged

ArdenBrooks

I'm surprised by his restraint. He wrote several paragraphs before he used "explode" as a transitive verb.

@BG_Davies I didn't make it all the way through, but yes! Actually Landry is smarter than this gooberlerone. @hafferby and @ardenbrooks might enjoy his drivel too.

Hey! Thanks for the follow! I'd leave a sassy note for you, but unfortunately, my brain tends to suffer from sass-deficiency. 'Tis a sad life, but I can hope to learn from the best.

AlanGood

@ArdenBrooks Soooo creepy!

ArdenBrooks

And now we know your name...

Wait, that was more creep than sass. Sorry.

@NiamhBran Thanks for reading. @ArdenBrooks, @BG_Davies, and @Hafferby are all skilled in the sass and sarcasm department.

Hiyo:

I just posted a middle-to-past-the-middle draft of a new Forthcoming piece, "A Review of 'Men Keep Mancommending Big Books to Me and My Response Is Perfect' By Jessica-Michéle Live-Strong." I had intended to have one review per week, but I'm not going to be able to keep to that schedule, at least until someone goes back to school in August. Anyway, if you get a chance, give it a look. I'm laying off the right-wingers this round, making fun instead of t-shirt feminism. For the record, I like feminism but am super-annoyed by the superficial variety in which "mansplaining" is the word of the day every day. My eventual goal is for ninety percent of humans to hate me! I like to let you lot have a crack before I post these things on my website; in the event that I stray too far I don't think you'll murder me.

Here's some mancommended reading for those who want additional context:

Apparently, I never clicked through to your profile before. I love McSweeny's. Nice to meet you. :)

AlanGood

You too. It's been a few years since I had anything in McSweeney's. I used to write a column for them about bedbugs.

Thanks for the vote on my shopping centre thing in Hairballs. I love that you liked that part in particular. I remember how much I struggled to write it. And that was a long time ago. You're the first person to actively appreciate it. That really means a lot to me.

AlanGood

@MaximilianFrick My pleasure. That's as far as I've got so far, but I'll get back to it when I get a break.
