Am willing to exchange critiques.

Have been writing for a while, now, and have even sold three short stories to professional markets (see the posting in 'Tip'). More important, I have collected a range of unusual experiences to add verisimilitude to my stories and am willing to share to help yours.

I primarily like fantasy adventures, particularly in a medieval setting, but am open to some variation. Romance is okay as a side plot, but not the main event, and I’m not interested in erotica. You can see my tastes from my reading list, and can no doubt find some of my comments in those works for examples.

If all you want to say (or hear) is ‘Wow! Awesome!’ we’re probably not a good match. I put a lot of thought and effort into my comments/observations/suggestions, especially the first few chapters. I am also serious about trying to improve my writing, and want feedback – both positive and negative. In other words, don't be afraid of hurting my feelings. I think of it as preparation because editors don't worry about hurting feelings :). If you truly can’t think of a suggestion, please tell me:

Something you like
Something you don’t like
Maybe a word you think needs to be explained
Suggest another tag, if you can think of one

If you’re really interested in improving your writing and would like to exchange thoughtful, considered critiques, critique a chapter of 'Havoc's Daughters' and PM me. We will start with a single chapter exchange to see if we suit, and can build from there.

* Warning: Contact me if you're interested, but I've been burned enough times that I'm not going to give you a critique until I've gotten a useful (doesn't have to be 'good') one from you first.
