Joseph Armstead, author of several novels and short stories, has been published in several print magazines and online journals. He created vampire hunter Montgomery Quinn and his nemeses, the vampire families of the Moon-Chosen, and he chronicles the twisted tales of "The Infernals", demonic aliens from a dark, far away dimension.
Joseph's most recent stories center around a world called "The Withered Land".
It is the Last Place in Creation, at the heart of an eons-old star system, under dual suns, one a red giant and the other a blue dwarf, and it is a world of Fallen Kings, nomadic mutant tribes, alien monsters and haunted dead cities, a place where Time is broken and where Science is dying!
This is the place the Knight D'Spayr calls home and, in order, these are its stories...
1) D'Spayr, A Knight in the Withered Land
2) The Traveler in Red: Warlords of the Withered Land
3) The Withered Land, The Empire Falls: Hell's Avatar
4) The Withered Land: Dragons and Marauders
And coming soon:
5) The Withered Land, The Empire Falls: Abyssium
6) Nygeia, Princess of the Withered Land: Palace of A Thousand Devils
7) Mune'stahr and Pylott: Hellmarrow, a tale of The Ventriculum
Cover art by the amazing Stefanie Saw!
Joseph currently lives in northern California and is a computer technologist.

Writer of speculative fiction, a little pure science fiction, sometimes fantasy.
Like readers more than anything else, so usually happy to give free e books on request.
As for the rest. My ego is spread thickly enough across the net- you really don't need to read it here as well.
Have a good day.
I'm an author, a photographer, a nerd, a punk, a goth, a science junky, an atheist, a humanist, a transhumanist, a political junkie, an arm chair philosopher, a DJ, a filmmaker, I'm non-monogamous, a gypsy, a native American, and someone who always tries to remember to look at the world with wonder.

John spent his formative years as a mercenary writer in the bloody, interdimensional, Literary Wars, where he earned the nickname, “Hack.” Upon his return to the civilized world, the battle-weary scribe worked for more than a decade as a journalist, graphic designer, and advertising copywriter. Yet his thirst for adventure could not be quenched, so once again he took up the quill to write comics, children’s books, novels, and the occasional screenplay.
Nobody knows the exact location of his writing studio, Fablehaus, which is hidden somewhere deep in the legendary Owlwood of New Hampshire.
I was born during a blizzard. I'm told it was pretty cool but I have no memory of that time. I grew up in two tiny towns in Virginia and spent most of my twenties moving around the US. I've lived in Virginia, Florida, Missouri, and Washington. I've settled down, for now, in Raleigh, North Carolina.
I'm a writer and improviser. I studied acting in college but spent more time rewriting lines than memorizing them. My first play, Fourth Wall, was produced my junior year. Since then, I've written several full length plays, one acts, and screenplays. I started writing fiction in my late twenties. Now, I focus mainly on novels but still dabble in theater.
Fun facts about me: There are none. I'm sorry to disappoint you so soon. But, I do love to read, write, and run. My hubby is my favorite person on earth. Dogs are my second favorite. All dogs. Know that. I love orange juice, especially when it's mixed with club soda. Carbonation is better than alcohol. Jaws is my favorite movie. Everything I've said so far is true.
