In a dark time, the eye begins to see,
I meet my shadow in the deepening shade;
I hear my echo in the echoing wood--
A lord of nature weeping to a tree,
I live between the heron and the wren,
Beasts of the hill and serpents of the den.

If you've stopped by this page, I guess you're wanting to find out a little about who I am, so here goes:
I was born in Philadelphia, USA and raised in Melbourne, Australia, where I currently live with my husband who I was lucky enough to meet at university. Our mutual love of Tolkein, Terry Pratchett and philosophical debate (i.e., being utter nerds :) ) drew us together and keeps us together!
After uni, I somehow managed to turn my backstage audio-tech experience from school into a career turning some of Australia's best loved books (and some not-so-loved!) into audio books. I did that for about seven years and then took about the same time off, as my husband's career took us on an adventure living in Japan and Thailand - all the while practicing writing my own stories.
At the end of my last year in Thailand, 2013, I decided to join Wattpad and let my stories peek into the world and see if anyone peeked back. That so many have is a daily delight and I appreciate every single read, vote and comment so much!
If you enjoyed reading As Long As She Lives - or any of my work - here, I hope you'll consider supporting me by buying a copy of the edited, published version. It's available online in paperback and eBook worldwide at all the usual places and signed paperbacks can be ordered via my website where you will also find links to the most popular online stores! http://www.narrativedisorder.com/books

Wishing you all love, creativity and courage,
I got my start writing in a place a lot like this one, except it was back in the late 1990s when the Internet came in the mail on discs from a man named Steve Case, and all I wrote about was Star Wars. Since then I've written the same novel several times over and a boatload of short stories. I also went to college, traveled the world a bit, and interned for two publishing companies. I now write and edit professionally. Someday, after I'm famous, I will change this box to read something snappy like, "I make up stories for young people. Sometimes they read them." But for now, we'll stick with this.
The big story I'm sharing on Wattpad right now is called Soulwoven. It's got dragons and necromancers and magic and death, and it's about two brothers and how their decisions shape a world torn between loving and hating itself. It's about a lot of other things too, but that's good for a start. Thanks in part to my Wattpad readers, I Kickstarted its publication in 2013. You can buy it in print or e-book here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IKAXSPG/
I hope you enjoy it.
Also, I sometimes do first-page critiques here on Wattpad. When I do, I always reserve a few spots for my followers, so if you want more info on them, make sure to follow me.

I'm a sometimes artist, and a full-time budget analyst. And a published writer. My stories have appeared in Writers of the Future Volume 29, Daily Science Fiction, Galaxy's Edge, Orson Scott Card's Intergalactic Medicine Show, and Beneath Ceaseless Skies. I'm an active member of Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) and was a first place winner in Writers of the Future for 2013.
I grew up on a steady diet of Star Trek: TNG, Dragonlance, Drizzt Do'Urden, and King's Quest. My writing is alternately dark and cheeky. Enjoy!
Free to read on Beneath Ceaseless skies: "The Dreams of Wan Li"
Free to read on Daily Science Fiction: "This Doesn't Appear to be the Alien I Paid For"
Feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions. I love to talk shop!
UPDATE: I've been getting some requests to read stories and comment. I would really LOVE to, but I've recently been promoted at work and I've three other books I'm working on, so my time is extremely limited. I hope to offer some free critiques in the future, but for now I'm swamped. Thank you for your understanding!
Hey, I'm one of those big nerds who always has a book or a note book in her hands I don't typically let people read my work but why not? If no one likes it oh well I'll just stick to reading. I write my Ouran Fanfiction because I love it Ahh... :3 and other randomness that pops into my mind. I think i'm done with this. For now anyways sooo, PEACE.!
