This book has it all: Satanism, unicorns, magic! Okay, well, maybe not Satanism, but it does have the other two!
Angsty, gay teen Ryan and his gothy best friend, trans girl Alison decide to perform a vengeance spell, from a mysterious book they find, on a group of bullies. After they cast the spell, an earthquake shakes the city, and the two are subsequently whisked away by agents of the Marduk Institute; a top secret government organization that seeks to "cultivate" the powers of wizards.
Once at "the institute" they meet a diverse cast of characters including Ryan's crush, hot/cold "straight" boy Hunter and skateboarding enthusiast Blake, who develops feelings for Alison. The world of wizards is full of cruel students, like the elitist Legacy members, and bizarre dangers, like the mysterious Asuras.
But what happens in our magical, coming-of-age love story when Ryan starts being stalked by a sinister entity in his dreams? Can Ryan's friends save him from an enemy that can't die?

If you like Harry Potter, the Percy Jackson series, or Mortal Instruments you'll probably enjoy this book.

*The wonderful Kobey Adams @AdastraelGenesis made this cover for me.
**Trigger Warning: This story contains instances of violence against LGBT and some homophobic and transphobic language.

That couldn't have summed up the hell of school any better if it tried.
If the spell worked, then you really need to throw a huge party because that stuff's not supposed to be able to happen 😂
No freaking way. You know, I would have laughed hysterically if they wound up summoning a chicken.
It's so like people to make rash assumptions without getting to know the full story first. 🙄
I didn't read this, just came down here to comment.
The only thing that attracted me was Statism (I'm v dark don't judge) and was v disappointed when you said there wasn't, that's the Wattpad definition of click bait. Wtf?
When my mother was still alive, she was actually into this stuff. 😁
