Cuts and Bruises
Avery and Hunter laid side by side each other on the couch, Hunter had his muscular arms wrapped around his girlfriend's tiny waist. Avery was staring out of the ocean view window, a million thoughts rushing through her mind. She watched the blue ocean lap against the golden sand, the warm sun beat down on tanned people. The people outside were happy, Avery wasn't happy.
She couldnt keep the secret any longer. Pretending everything was fine; the cuts and bruises were reminders of what she had to deal with everyday. Then there were the scars. The zebra striped pattern all down her thighs, things with Hunter were getting serious.
It was time he knew the truth. Hunter's hand gently stroked Avery's chesnut waves as her hazel eyes met his melting brown.
'Av, are you ok?' Hunter asked her, looking concerned.
'I'm... Hunter, you need to know something about me,' Avery breathed inhaled slowly.
'What is it boo,' Hunter looked at her worried.
Avery took another deep breath, gripped his hand firmly and looked into his eyes.
