Dmitri Grief is just a small, innocent nine year old.
Living with his older sister - Holly - and his parents, plus Baby Lily, they were quite happy.
Despite the constant arguments between the wife and husband.
A year ago, there was an incident with a cousin he had never ever seen or heard of before.
And that incident is death.
The young boy known as Tobias was apparently killed by his cruel parents, who apparently kept the boy locked in a basement to starve
Eventually the parents had enough of Tobias' screams and killed him on the spot - in a spare, hidden room.
In 'honour' of the poor boy, Mrs Grief suggests they move into the house the boy was murdered in.
After a rather big argument, the husband gives in and says yes.
Stupid idea, we know.
But after the arrival of the family in their new home, things begin to seem a little... off.
And by the time they realise what's going on, not even God can save them.
Some scenes do involve blood, gore and there is some very gruesome deaths.
If you are not a fan of:
•Child abuse (minor, we will not show much)
•Sexism and racism (this is set in the 60's, so back then there were a lot of racism and sexism back then)
Then please either be cautious when reading, or do not read.
