Nia is a woman who lost everything that mattered at a young age, and has been plagued by it ever since.

Nightmares about her trauma enter her dreams almost every night, and though she has someone to lean on, she can't be rid of them. Dreams about a place she's never seen before begin to come to her on the nights she doesn't relive her past, but they affect her just as strongly. She feels like she is going to be torn apart until her fate changes unexpectedly.

Her best friend and occasional lover, Thalia, shows up on her doorstep with news that Nia has inherited a house now that she has turned twenty-three. Excited for a change of scenery, she and Thalia set out to see the house, but things begin to become strange.

Nia recognizes the house from her dreams, and the man who has been appearing in them as well. A man whose face she could never remember.

As things become more complicated, she realizes that the house and the man are not as they seem, and they are both hiding a dark secret.

A secret that changes everything Nia has ever known or thought possible.

A secret that could mean life or death.
