Lucy's world is bleak and full of her depression. With an abusive father, a dead mother, and bullying at school, Lucy isn't left with many options. She struggles to figure out what to do, but then she bumps into the new boy, Natsu.  He hasn't been at Fairy Tail High for long, but he's already incredibly popular. Suddenly Lucy finds herself staring at him in class and starting to think about him more and more. She can't seem to grasp what's wrong with her.
