|Snow in Summer| ON HOLD
"You didn't have to die, you know? I'll die without you."
Those words were what I thought just before she had taken the leap of a new chapter.
Hideki Kitasha's sister has recently died of suicide, leaving him to mourn and drown him in darkness. He doesn't fight; he's on the point of no return when light spears the darkness.
Adamance Kohaku, aka Hecate, is a girl in Hideki's school. She hates boys. But she is genuinely concerned about Hideki's deteriorating health, and strives to save him, even though he shuts her out completely. She uncovers a diary of Hiyasha Kitasha's secrets. Hideki refuses to touch anything Hiyasha, his sister, left, as it pained him to remember that Hiyasha was gone.
But in that diary, there is a code. It states the reasons why Hiyasha jumped, why she even thought of it. Why she kept secrets that Hideki never knew.
Even though the quest to save Hideki's sanity started out simple and narrow, it lengthens to something entirely new:
-Why did Hiyasha die?
-Why did she leave the diary purposefully?
-Why is it that over time, Hideki has....feelings for the baka named Adamance Kohaku?
"Take my hand," She insists.
I turn her out and shut her off completely.
All OCs mine, writing credit to me, blah blah, etc.
And yes, this book may be a mishmash of a couple of book ideas I had.
If it's very similar to a published book, notify me: Trust me, I don't read those YA novels.
