His species was hunted down over a decade ago. But he doesn't know that. The man literally grew up alone in the back allies and in the sewers. Everything he knows is from observing the ignorant people who pass him by every day but never see him. He even randomly decides to give himself names, changing them as he whims, since nobody ever calls out to him anyway.

Xavier Maximus is a multi billionaire. He's also two other things; a naga, a creature that can shift between near entirely snake and man, and lastly, desperate to find a living harpy. The reason for the latter is to fulfill a promise to a late friend, who died trying to save the last known population of harpies from poachers. Now, 19 years after any type of evidence, fresh juvenile harpy feathers are discovered in the forests outside the human city New Rome. Now he just has to track down a single unidentifiable person in a megacity housing 168 million people. But he has one clue. The scent left on the feathers.
