At first, there was only the Darkness. A fuming void of nothingness, though it could be said it was full of contempt and hate. The Darkness tried to imprison Light, and they fought for eons.
But Vera won, and peace seemed eternal.
But Hemlock has a secret. A voice from within tempts her, words dripping with malice and need. She soon learns that she is the last one standing of the eight Keepers of the Darkness, a divine force created by the goddess Vera to harness all the evil in the universe and control it. Hemlock's body is sometimes uncontrollable, and forces her to do terrible, horrible things. People are hurt. Just as the voices tell her, Hemlock longs to be dead.
A radical group under the name "The Phoenix" ravages the realms, gaining more and more followers, causing more and more evil. Who they are and what their intentions are is unclear, but one thing is certain - anyone who gets in their way will die.
Hemlock must learn to harness the Darkness inside her while not falling into its fatal wrath, using it to defeat this mysterious force and its vengeful followers. She must meet new friends and old on this journey, her actions rippling through time.
Suspenseful, inspiring, and awash with fantasy, Ghostblade is a story of loss, romance, and unstoppable determination.
