(TH#6)"If you love something, let it go. If it returns, it's yours."
For Kelly Briner, that isn't necessarily the case. Her relationship with Drake Weston was unexplainable; that is, nobody could ever figure out how the normal, Plain Jane girl ever connected with the impulsive and reckless partier. It just was, and it was something everybody accepted. But what they didn't know? Drake's ability to break Kelly's heart over and over again, while Kelly naively continued loving him, letting herself be destroyed by his words and actions. The final blow came sophomore year, when he left her in pieces and moved away to Seattle.
Two years later and he makes a sudden re-entrance into her life, but things have changed. Kelly suffers from a severe lack of self-esteem, having been through difficult stages of depression and self-harm. The last thing she needs is Drake Weston. And then after odd circumstances land them together in detention with a teacher who likes to make things creative, they're doomed. Something still exists between them, but it's been corrupted by cheating and lies. When both are forced to confront the secret that tore them apart in the first place, how will they handle it? And when Drake sees how much he's wrecked Kelly, can anything he do make her forgive him?
