17 year old Jessica McCarthy was sick of being a nerd, so, she transformed herself into a smartass. She's turned herself into someone who she doesn't want to be. Now, she has friends who she doesn't trust, a boyfriend who she doesn't love and parents who don't care.

Can the arrival of a hot, young teacher who shows more concern than all three of these put together get through to her, or will it just end in disaster like everything else seems to be lately.

Things start to go wrong when people she used to trust turn on her and surprises she definitely wasn't expecting are sprung upon her. Will she find her happy ending? Or is that just a thought she shouldn't even be considering?

The main characters relationships that start before the book starts never work out.

Actually, her mom is her own person, an adult. Therefore, it's her mom's fault, but also, her stepdads fault for introducing it to her. Her mom could have said no, but she didn't.

I agree with @Eleccentric345 on the pacing but like cliches are good! Just don't make them so bait, you get me? I was reading with my little sister *sigh* and she was even more hooked then me, so I'm going to keep reading on but I've voted XD

This is nice! when I first began reading I was already sucked in. Like others said before me, watch your pacing. Also, be careful to stay away from too many cliches, or if you decide to use them, add something to give them a bit of spark. This is a good opening chapter.
