Aswang: The Creepy Chronicles

Aswang is a popular creature in the Filipino Folklore and you may have heard Tiniente Gimo.

Almost everyone regardless of their age had heard of it. Most of them believe it. Some of them claimed to have seen them at some point of their life. The stories about aswang are very well known in the Visayan region.

Aswang, as defined in Wikipedia, "is a vampire-like witch ghoul in Filipino folklore and is the subject of a wide variety of myths and stories. Spanish colonists noted that the Aswang was the most feared among the mythical creatures of the Philippines, even in the 16th century".

These creatures, I think, mostly exist in rural areas. Stories of Aswang in urban areas are also popular in mainstream media.
