"Don't hug me I'm scared" those were the first words I had heard her say in days as I found her huddled in the darkest corner of her room. "Don't hug me I'm scared." she cried.  "Emily it's okay there's nothing to be scared of." I whispered as comforting as I possibly could. "I'm not scared for me" she whispered back but quieter. . "I'm scared for you."
