Growing up, your best friend becomes your worst enemy.

Lollipops turn into cigarettes.

The innocent ones turn into sluts.

Homework goes in the trash.

Detention becomes suspension.

Soda becomes alchohol.

Undies turn into G-strings and boxers.

Kisses turn into something more...

Remember when getting high, meant swinging on the playground? When protection meant wearing a helmet? When the worst things you could get from a boy or girl were cooties? Your worst enemies were your siblings, race issues were about who ran the fastest. War was only a card game and the only drug you knew about was cough medicine. Wearing a skirt never made you a slut, the one pain you felt was a skinned knee and good byes only meant until tomorrow...

...And to think, we all wanted to grow up?

My childhood wasn't like this, but its very true for other people

this has a lot of truth to it, and I love how you incorporated the innocence of children and the transition into adulthood within it. This is a great message, keep going!
