Kristin Kakes solved the meaning of life a year ago in 9th grade Honors Math. Second period. She's an all A's, all achievement, goal-driven dynamo too smart and too good for high school. She not only has today planned, and the next day and the next, she thinks she knows what she'll be doing in twenty years. Tommy Amsterdam doesn't know what he'll be doing in twenty minutes. But he does have a pocket hole. And pocket holes exist for people like Kristin. Poor Kristin, she thinks she has everything she needs. She hasn't got a clue.
