The End of Everything
"I can see the pain in your eyes Amirah, it doesn't matter if the sun covers your lips or if the moon caresses your skin, your eyes are as sad as the stars turning to dust against the blue of a hopeful sky."
Doleful Amirah Dolma has been subjected to the high expectations of her immigrant parents her entire life. From birth there were only three options available to her, become a doctor and get married, become a lawyer and get married and if neither of those worked out then a back home marriage was expected. These options were nothing close to what Amirah wanted, but that all changed when she met Alex with his freakishly accurate observations and slightly suicidal tendencies. Amirah starts to take her life back into her hands only to lose everything again, because she was a ticking time bomb and Alex was her catalyst.
Reckless Alexander Renzi has been subjected to the rules of his family name ever since he was born, after all he was next in line to take over the Renzi Empire, but when his father dies and leaves him with nothing Alex comes to terms with trying to right himself and trying to make good of all the bad he did because after everything Alex had done he wanted to make his family proud again, but nothing ever came easy.
Alex struggles with his grief, past mistakes and bad habits but everything takes a turn for the better when he meets Amirah Dolma with her sad eyes and her bitter view on life. Amirah doesn't take to Alex as easily as every other girl did instead she watched him cynically from behind her inexpressive face. Alex knows he has to have her, he knows he needs her to fix him, but Alex was bad news and dangerous. Alex ruined everything.
For both Alex and Amirah love didn't conquer all, instead it destroyed everything.
