Yusei Fudo is a seventeen year old high schooler on the verge of turning eighteen. He lives with his younger sister, Yuko Fudo, but their life is everything but paradise. This brother and sister pair live in a hellish household, trying desperately to find a way out. However, Yusei must throw himself in harm's way just that he may keep his younger sister safe, even if it means he has to have more marks on his frail body. He would do anything for Yuko just to keep her safe, no matter the price he has to pay.
Jack Atlas is the new kid on campus at the age of seventeen and about to turn eighteen, having switched to a regular school for his senior year, his parents being world famous and all with their Atlas Enterprise Duel Company. He had gotten sick and tired of the pampered life, always blending in with the crowd, so he transferred to New Domino High. However, what events will follow when these two cross paths? Can Jack Atlas break through those thick walls Yusei has encased himself behind just to prevent himself from being hurt again, or will Yusei continue to suffer in silence while his little sister has to remain in the background?
