Dr. Rose Kenny has never been afraid of the next step in her career and her life. Shortly after she settled in Central Oregon, she was going up a chairlift on Mount Bachelor, a popular skiing destination near Bend, Oregon, when she met a man going up the mountain with her. As Dr. Kenny puts it, she married him "eleven weeks and four days later after finding out his credit score was over 800."

Dr. Rose Kenny grew up on a dairy farm in Vermont. She was voted Miss Teen Vermont in high school and placed tenth in the national pageant. But she didn't stop there. She studied hard in school and enrolled at Mount Holyoke College where she graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Chemistry. At this point, Dr. Kenny knew she wanted to be a doctor.

After completing her residencies in family practice and obstetrics, Dr. Rose Kenny was ready for the next challenge. All doctors have to complete their education and their residencies to prove they are skilled and experienced enough to be trusted with people's health and to work in a medical facility. Some doctors, once they complete their residencies and their various degrees, start helping patients immediately and never go back to school for additional training.

Instead of simply working as a physician for the rest of her career, Dr. Rose Kenny pursued several other training courses and earned certification in different areas of medical practice. She trained in the rising field of Clinical Informatics and soon became the Clinical Informatician for the Family Care Center, helping doctors get the information they need about all of their patients throughout the facility.
