"John... Have you ever loved someone that you couldn't have because they loved someone else?"
"Yes, actually, I have." John replied after a moment of thinking. "I'm in that situation right now."
"You are?" Ringo looked at John with wide eyes.
"Yeah, I am." John nodded. "It really sucks, doesn't it?"
"That's quite possibly the hugest understatement I've ever heard." Ringo scoffed.
"Because it doesn't just 'suck,' John. It's the worst feeling in the world. It's like having your heart torn out of your chest and stomped on repeatedly. It just crushes you to see the one you love have so much interest in someone else. It really fucking hurts, John."
It's hard, loving someone that you know you can't have. That's exactly the struggle that John and Ringo face. Ringo loves George and John loves Paul. The only problem is this;
George and Paul love each other.
Ringo seeks his cigarettes for comfort, puffing his feelings into the filter and watching them float off in the form of smoke. What happens when John and Ringo discover that they're going through the same thing?
