The Usual (Poems for Everyday Objects)
There's nothing wrong with being ordinary. Even the ordinary things are worth writing poems about.
Hey everyone! Welcome to my second poetry book, The Usual, a collection of poems for everyday objects. If you've read A Harsh, Nigh-Magical Rant, then you know I like to write all kinds of poems, in lots of different styles and about different things. For this book, I'll be sticking with a theme and using a pretty consistent style to go with it.
Each of the poems in this collection is about an ordinary, everyday object, either something I have or something I see regularly in my day-to-day. The style is (mostly) unrhymed free verse, and most of the poems will be pretty short, which I think matches the unassuming characteristics of the objects themselves.
I hope you like the book! Updates are every Tuesday and Friday. I'm planning on 50 parts total, but that's subject to change, I guess. Happy reading!
