Set in the colossal medieval time, this book is a fiction written in "Lyric" style. It describes of a fictional account starting from the conquest of New World by Columbus, to the Anglo-Spanish war (1585-1604). It vividly describes the society, the monarchy and the Court of the Spanish Empire.
Captain Verne, the main protagonist; speaks of his daring adventures to fearsome parts of the World. He's the Royal Sailor at the Court of Charles I of Spain. He's set on a exploration that he needs to travel alone. In the Golden Age of Exploration, his tale is described in four major parts -
I) A New World, A New Home
II) Far beyond the South Seas
III) Arctic and the Christmas Carol
IV) The Lost Voyage to Ecstasy
These four parts combine to form "Las Cronicas" series. Each part has its own theme, its own story, one leading to the other. It is a tale of how Verne would find his lost family, how he could go against the King, how he would lead the Spanish Armada, and how would he establish true patriotism. It speaks of voyages, battles, royalty, morale, bravery, the zeal to explore, aristocracy, and even, even more. Each part has been made much interesting to delve the reader in, and make this fictional story appear like a real one.
