Incipio: Dreamers of the Void
When the end draws near, and the final moments of Existence come, Earth shall not be brought down immediately as many expect it to be-it shall end after everything else around it does. Every universe shall die; every galaxy shall diminish; every planet shall succumb; every star shall burn out; every cell shall relinquish its life. Existence shall slowly come undone before our world perishes, and even if such a thing is stopped before our doom, many others shall not be spared.
The death of all we knew was brought by the living, those whose hunger for sweet power rose too high, their craving for control to a level that left all to pay. Not only is the world you know at stake, but all worlds, of all galaxies, of all universes. As per usual in such foretold legends, there are few who can hope to stop it: those marked by the blessing of the Alignment. Several have had such a mark. Most have been killed by those who wish for no such mark to rise. Only few remain, mostly on the worlds left untouched by those who hunt them.
Some of the last hopes for existence, conveniently enough, inhabit Earth.
A force stronger than any fighter our world has ever seen retrieves two marked by the Alignments, a notorious killer of these types. These two find themselves not in a world, but an intersection of worlds. If they survive, they shall venture forth to see that their world is a simple stone floating in the depths of space compared to what truly lies out there: beings who are not humans, but fight alongside them; monsters, unlike any beast that walks the world you know; power, unlike any force that one could dream of. The world is complex, in many ways, and as time progresses, more are thrown into the fire of the convoluted events set up by the very force of existence itself.
From here it is your choice of what to do: read along or back away. Either way, you may learn no choice is truly simple, and the smallest decision can revise entire worlds.
