Jack's story. Can be read as a stand alone.
Jack hasn't always made the best choices as Beta of the Ridgewood Pack, beside his Alpha, Axel. The Alpha family has had it's ups and downs and he wasn't helping any to reduce these upsets.
Jack wants to step down from his place as Beta so he can focus on himself and have a quiet, lowkey life where his mistakes aren't in the spotlight constantly and he can be himself. He also wants to find his mate and spend his life beside her rather than being busy all the time with pack business.
He is grateful his Alpha provided such an opportunity for him, but he suspects someone else would be better for the job.
However, finding his mate seems much more difficult of a task than expected, mentally as well as physically.
