Damned if I Do
Here's something that I thought would be interesting: Uploading a book that I'd written in high school, that will probably never see the light of publishing day.
I've always written, I never haven't. In high school, while kids were out doing...stuff... I was at home writing this vampire book. A part of me wishes I had completed it, but another realizes that I've grown from this book, and I am writing better now. Themes from this book have popped up in later books, and I've borrowed ideas from it to create a better story in my other novels.
So it's my vampire book, in all its unrefined glory. You'll find some pop culture references (I loved the name Willow, which came from Buffy, which influenced this book), you'll find some weird coincidences (my main character meets a vampire in her high school class - much like in Twilight, but remember, this was written in 2003!), and you'll find some plot issues, holes, cardboard characters and everything else.
But this is where it all began for me. I'm putting this here as much for myself as it is for you guys. :)
I've always planned on re-writing it. I still might, because I have a plan for this story. Characters won't be the same. The plot won't be the same. But the bones of it would be there.
So, enjoy this book. Here's a quick description:
After losing her sister to vampires and being bitten herself, Willow Branford has decided to fight back. Teamed up with a rogue vampire, hunters, and a mysterious Pureblood vampire who hates his kind, she learns of a way to eradicate vampires once and for all. But the sacrifice might be bigger than she could have ever dreamed.
