The Don's Daughter
Antonietta Montichelli has been around the Mafia ever since she could remember. With her father, famed mob boss Franco Montechelli being the Don, how could she not? However, she is not the sweet little obedient daughter her father wishes her to be, and often gets herself into scrapes and messes that brings huge disapproval from their entire community. When her father has had enough of her antics, but doesn't have the heart to order his beloved bambina into her place, he enlists the help of his best friend's son to watch over her, and make sure she doesn't get into any more trouble than she already has.
But what happens when she stumbles head first into the biggest war since before her grandfather was the big bad boss? And if she is being honest with herself, is being knee deep in a rivalry that spans generations worse than dreaming about her annoying bodyguard?
Luca DiNapoli has always hated the mob way of life. That is why when his family relocated to America to be with their beloved Montechellis, he remained in Italy with his grandmother, thinking that he was safe to live a normal life. However, when his father orders him to join them, his old school upbringing forbids him to decline his father's request, and he soon finds himself deep in the midst of Boston's biggest Mafia gang. To his surprise, he is given his first assignment, keep Franco's hardheaded daughter Toni out of trouble. Seems simple enough. Until he meets her.
Antonietta is more trouble than Luca bargained for, especially when she uncovers a plot from the enemy to take over Franco's rein. But he can't exactly leave her to her doom, even when she drags him down with her.
Especially since, he loves her.
