Belle never planned to love the monster who took her as payment for saving her kingdom. The Assassin never planned for anyone to love him again in spite of his bloody past, cursed soul and shattered mind.

And the Beast never planned on any of this.

As they play games with hearts and magic, someone else is playing games with their minds and monsters.

"-brave girl" was a little mistake, but apart from that, no mistakes! :)
Remember I'll be posting the critique results on the book, I'm just pointing the little mistakes out in comments. (I'm on a tablet for a few weeks, which complicates things a bit).

Perfectly delivered line. I don't normally read re-tellings but I have a feeling I'll enjoy this story.

I can't access my @MadMansGuardian account from this infernal device, so I'm going to give a preliminary hoorah from here: YAY!!! I hit my first 1k reads!

Absolutely perfect! And this right her makes me fall in love with Belle. The sacrifice great and she does it without a second thought and only a reminder not to shake. She's got this.

I like the idea of Belle choosing this fate, rather than her father giving her away. And the Beast being an assassin is intriguing.

The realization here---- well-done. Subtle, cool. That ah ha moment.
