Marrying Death (ON HOLD)
My darling daughter, we miss you so much. If you’re reading this though, it’s because we are either dead or we walked out on you and your brother when you were but a child. I am hoping that we never walked out on you but died. Now you need to hear something, on your eighteenth, no seventeenth birthday everything will change. You see when you were born you were dead and so your father and I made a deal with Death, himself. Our deal was that when you were old enough you are to marry his eldest son, Ren. His son will be Death by then and by Death I mean this man has control over whether a person lives or dies. I am so sorry by dear baby girl, we wanted you to live. We didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into until it was too late.
My mouth dropped in shock as I looked at the next letter.
On your seventeenth birthday, Ren will be holding you both a birthday party and your engagement party. The invitation and your dress will be there the week before but if you do not show they, meaning Death’s assistances, would come to find you. I love you baby girl but this has to be done. We possibly died trying to go back on this deal so do this for us. I love you...we love you!
