Teuila Pele, an 20 year old woman, on her second year in Medicine at the University of Samoa, has set her mind on only her family and education. Teuila lives in Apia on the island of Upolu, and has lived there all her life with her 2 annoying older brothers, her grandparents and her mother. Her mother's health had began to deteriorate quickly and her nagging of her daughter to find love rose. Teuila did not believe that her life was made for only love. She worked hard all her life in school to please her family and aimed to get a high income occupation in Samoa. Her brothers are busy working the plantation but additionally work at Ah Mau supermarket as part time. It was enough to support her family but she wanted more. Her driven heart clouded her judgement on romance thinking that the meaning of love will not be worth it. Her mother loved her father so much and yet he abandoned them for another woman from a different village. She witnessed her mother's heart break and never forgave her father. Love was nothing to her but a way to break her down emotionally, mentally and physically. She loved her family, of coarse, but the love of a significant other meant nothing. However, during the long summer break before her university starts, she began to work at Aggie Grey's hotel as an entertainer in dancing and at times a waitress, who soon encounters someone that will shows her the true meaning of love.
