Jade Taylor has had a very rough start in life. With her father being a drug lord and her mother being an addict, it's pretty accurate to say that she had to learn to fend for herself very early on. When she was seven, her father got busted, and she eventually got placed into Greencliff Children's Care Home along with two of her many half-siblings. For a girl born into a life as messed up as hers used to be, it's fair to say that she has her head screwed on pretty straight with all things considered. From the moment she was taken away from that world she knew that she didn't want to go back; instead, she actually wants to make something of her life.
Now, at age seventeen, Jade is counting down the days before her exams are over so she can spend the summer with her two best friends and boyfriend. However, things don't always go to plan... especially in a town like Greencliff.
The Coleman's are a dangerous family, the most dangerous family in town, and they fit so perfectly into the 'gang' culture that Jade so desperately wants to avoid. When Lucas Coleman, the king of crime himself, starts popping up everywhere she turns, it makes Jade's attempt at living a normal life that much more difficult. She refuses to let herself become her mother but, at the same time, there's something about the Coleman's that piques her curiosity and she soon finds herself walking a very thin line between the life she wants and the life she wants to escape. The question is... will she cross it?
