Goodbye, Father | Legolas & Lord Of The Ring...
"..a shuddering intake of breath was heard from him as he looked into his father's icy eyes. Slowly, the light that always shone brightly in his eyes, the light many learned to fear, love, respect and look up to, was dissolving with a final sigh from the elven prince."
The parting of a sindarin elven prince from Middle Earth (courtesy of being stabbed by an ancient blade that has prevented his wound from healing) raises confusion and despair in the ranks of victorious Men and Elves. A dark shapeless and ancient shadow had stabbed the elf and broken into the white city of Minas Tirith before disappearing.
Yet years later, the shadow appears once more, hate arises, grief awakens, hearts bleed, hands grip weapons, minds are determined and some naive teens decide it is up to them to seek revenge and in turn be the heroes their fathers once were.
Nestarion Legolasion and Eldarion Aragornion, along with a couple of people from Middle Earth shape a company as friendships are made, trust woven and some ancient histories, that should not have been forgotten, revealed.
'Goodbye, Father' tells the tale of a prince, deprived of his father, with a twin sister and a broken hearted mother. The details of his father are very vague and mysterious until he finds out the details, bit by bit he discovers that in fact, his father had not been 'travelling' but rather dead, in the White Haven on the other side of the sea, awaiting his family.
The young prince knows not whether to feel heartbroken, avenged or betrayed about the matter. All he knew was an emotion like that of a snake rising through him and eating away his self from the very inside.
A decision he made one day, custody of the pilling emotions and discoveries, to avenge what he never had.
But what seemed to be a good idea at the start, turned out to be a battlefield..
