The Architect (Short story, Nicholas Carlton)
Nicholas Carlton had it all- good looks, loving family and extreme wealth. His parent's business flourished and everything always seemed to work out for the Carltons. They were a golden family, lucky in business and lucky in love.
Except maybe for Nick. He'd promised himself he'd never fall in love again- once burned was enough for him.
Then he got the invitation- he was back. The cool, sophisticated art dealer who'd broken his heart was opening his own gallery and Nicholas, of course, was on the guest list. Nick would show him- show him he wasn't the same naive young man.
Still, Nick was finding it hard to keep his cool, especially when he kept bumping into that man- the one with sand colored hair and eyes that seemed to always be laughing at him.
