Out of Focus • jb
'She was forever unexpected and I was drunk on that about her.' - Atticus
Still struggling to come to terms with his breakup, Justin centres his attention to work, a failed and miserable attempt of his own interpretation of a distraction.
With his continued efforts to block out his feelings, he busies himself brewing coffee and serving the loyal and local customers of his coffee shop, Red Eye, a busy and bustling business in the heart of New York.
Customers come and go, a normal sight for Justin until he finds himself a real distraction; one that comes in the form of Bea Harper, an aspiring photographer who's just moved to the big apple.
With their paths both colliding on a rainy Tuesday afternoon, Justin can't help but focus his attention on the brunette who sits herself in the corner of his shop, her camera and laptop in tow.
With his repeated attraction towards her, will Justin find himself a distraction worthy of noticing or will he remain out of focus?
After all, there's only so much one can take once they've fallen apart.
