Moon Child // Ed Sheeran
Every now and then, I glanced at Ed while we sat on the couch in my basement, grazing on chips and pizza like it was our last meal, and I thought to myself that maybe my feelings were mutual, that maybe he would kiss me if only I leaned a few inches closer. But then reality would kick in, and I would realize that no matter how many times we flirted, I would always fall into the friend zone.
Growing up, it was always us against the world; the bug kid, and her ginger cat lover. We went to the same school, lived next door to each other, and kept a routine in our slow moving town. Nothing of excitement happened. There were never murder victims in the paper, nor were there any gangs. It seemed like everyone were ordinary people that worked a fun-sucking job, and returned home to a family.
My life was equally as boring - at least, until Ed and I came up with a bucket list. Thirty outrageous dares; six of which I was able to complete before I was hospitalized, and my memories abandoned me.
