"Honey, you're bleeding..." Mrs. Morgan stated, gesturing to my arm. 
         I became startled as I saw a gash on my upper arm, and my sleeve soaked in a crimson red.  
          "Oh, it's nothing, really...." I said, grabbing my arm, feeling a bit woozy.
          "Ethan, why don't you help her patch up her arm?" she asked.
          "Uh, sure.  I'll be right back..." Ethan said awkwardly, then ran up the stairs. 
          I nodded, feeling more dizzy every second.  My perfect vision blurred, and I could barely hear anything.  All support in my legs gave way, and I toppled onto the floor.  Mrs. Morgan knelt down by my side, and said, 
          "Ethan, hurry!  You're going to be just fine, I promi-"
          Then everything went black.

Benny walked into his house, knowing that since it was Thursday, Grandma Weir would be at her "Latenight Bingo." Where she gets drunk and spends the night at her friend Shelby's house. Benny threw down his now empty bag on the couch and collapsed next to it, running his hand through his shaggy hair. "Every supernatural creature is after this stupid Lucifractor thing- that we are now in possession of, Ethan's date with Sarah was ruined, and everything just sucks," Benny absently whined out loud. "Hi Benny Boo," she put on a sentimental smile and batted her eyes innocently, "did you miss me?" Benny just let out a high pitched scream. __________ When Benny Weir's ex-girlfriend shows up out of nowhere after having mysteriously fallen off of the face of the Earth two years ago and leaving her friends behind with no indication of where she was or what happened, Benny is hysterical. She left him all alone when he needed her most, with starting their first year of High School just days after she left. But he didn't have much time to think about it, for he knew that with what was going on with the Lucifractor, she wasn't there for a reunion. She changed, dramatically, from her hair to her outfits to her makeup. But this wasn't like her- at all. I was walking to the grocery store when I thought some one was following me I turned around and saw no one there so I brushed it off by the way my name is Lara and I was being followed by someone my whole life! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I WAS about to turn the corner when someone grabbed me and used their hands to cover mt mouth. I struggled and managed to push the person off and started sprinting down the street, yelling 'HELP'. I turned back to get a glance at the man who attacked me. I saw his face and it was Der!!! "What the hell Derek!"I shouted " I was scared shit-less that it was a kidnapper or murderer or gang member" It was NYC, who knew what happens at night and what kind of dangerous people are out there. "Shh"he said and covered my mouth. I bit his hand and he removed his hand from my mouth. "Ah, what was that for?" he yelled, his eyes getting darker as he pouted and rubbed his hand. "I don't know what you're up to but you're so being dumped"I told him. He was acting crazy and it was driving me insane because he wasn't telling me anything. He growled and ran towards him with his hands out wide to try and grab me, but I turned and kicked him in the leg as he fell to the ground. "Ha take that I took karate" I said proudly as he was groaning. I was a black belt student. I started sprinting when I turned the corner I saw Derek again with his eyes as dark as the night sky. What happened to his blue eyes?! "But you w-we-were- right there and n now you're here what? and w what happened to your eyes?"I kept stuttering. He seemed so brooding and dangerous and he didn't seem like the Der I knew and loved. Before I knew it, darkness succumbed me.

"I didn't think that the first night at my new college would end with me getting my back broken. And not in the fun way. I'm kind of annoyed about it. Not how I wanted to kick this year off. Could be read independently if you truly wanted to, but I'd recommend reading the first book. - I rush through the forest on foot, Emery right behind me as I panic. "Dennis!" I yell out and Emery stops me. "You need to calm down, your panicking." I glare at him and shove his hands off. "Really?" I push forward and keep calling my sons name out. I brush my hair away from my sweaty and tear stained face as I twist my face to look around us. "We have to keep looking. He has to be somewhere." Emery silently pulls me in and holds me to him. I felt any of what I had left blocking my emotions out break as I let out a sob and more followed as I balled up my brothers jacket in my hands. How could I let this happen, why'd I agree to invite that sick man to my sons birthday. God why. "Emery we-we have to keep going." I pull away and drag him with me as I focus on the task at hand, a freezing hand coming up from my side as I wipe my tears with my hand roughly.
