Alongside the humans, there exists another race of people, known as the Elements. Children born with the ability to incinerate things, make waves, grow plants from their palms, make stones crumble, or make the biggest storms you could ever imagine. Despite their impressive abilities, the Elements face scrutiny and discrimination. Their only chance to survive is to stay hidden, or get a job being a test subject for the government. Laurel Centralia is one such Element, an Incendia, forced to stay hidden, with a deep desire to find away for her fiery ability to help people. When Lysander steps into her life, an Aquarius, she quickly finds herself smoldering for him. But how can she love him when just a simple touch defies the laws of nature?
