The Three of Us
"You're more dangerous than you think."
"You have no clue what you're capable of . . . and you're bound to destruction."
For months, they kept her locked away in the darkness of a cement-walled room. That was all she could remember. Not the various tests, the blood, them. Definitely not her name or the voice in her head. Just the room.
But it's different now. The voice has been growing louder. It's telling her things she vaguely recalls, both weakening and strengthening her. They didn't want this, though.
So they bring him in. A test, a human. A human that, with just a moment of his presence, has her memories crawling back.
With this, she realizes that she is no longer a part of the human species . . . or, at least, half of it.
