"Your scars show strength, not weakness."
In which a girl with chocolate skin, and a boy with bloody hands meet, and realize that their scars and bruises may not be all too different.
"Your innocence is what makes you pure and significant Ebony." He began to argue with me, but all I could feel was his rejection, and realize my stupidity for believing in hope again.
I shook my head as I brought my arms around myself, and tried to bring warmth to my now cold body.
This was all my fault, I fell into the deep end when I knew the consequences, and now I can't swim my way to shore.
His arms end up wrapped around me as I continue to shake my head at him, and also suppress the tears that threaten to spill from my eyes.
"You deserve so much better than someone like me, do you understand?" He whispers into my ear, as I feel his arms tighten around me. My eyes can't hold back anymore as the salty river of pain, and agony can't be held back anymore by me.
I can't hold back anymore.
"And I will not let my sins, ruin you."
