Kale isn't the same boy he was a year ago. He used to smile, he used to hang out with friend, or live in the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple... he used to be able to talk. All it took was a man with a gun to change all of that. Forced to move down south with his Aunt Alice after his parents death, Kale is reluctant to even try to return to his normal life. But with new found guilt and a slightly pushy aunt forcing his hand in a decision to go back to high school, Kale finds himself thrown into a new type of life. It's a life of farms, small towns, pick-up trucks, a town's obsession with Rodeos, and a friendly cowboy who is more than happy to show Kale the ropes.
