A million lies
Aurelia Stone has been accused of a heinous crime. Her uncle has filed a report against her for the murder of her twin sister, Annalise. The news left everyone shocked. For the once loving and sweet girl they thought she was to do this is unexpected. For in a small town, everyone knows everyone and everything.
Or do they? Do they know the dark secrets of Aurelia's past, the living nightmare she endures and the haunting memories concealed within the walls of that two-story house? Can they really be sure they know what happened on that fateful night which changed everything? Or is it more about image? Maybe they don't know each other, they know the image of each other. They know what people pretend to be, not who they are, not the monsters that live in them. Perhaps they know nothing about Aurelia Stone, of the traumas she suffers from. Perhaps all they know about her is what she shows on the surface, the façade she has. They think they know her. Aurelia Stone - the girl who deceived them all. The girl who everyone loved but was a secret murderer. But maybe she deceived them in a way they never thought possible. Was her way of deception her sweet words? Her goody two shoes attitude? Or maybe her smile itself was the deception, for it hid the reality of the crumbling girl inside.
Detective Xavier Hall knows there is more to it. So, his team investigate. If only Aurelia was willing to cooperate. Why is she hiding everything? And who is she hiding it for?
