Looking for Neverland
It's the spring of 1995 in Antartica and a veritable blizzard has trapped young Theo in his tent for days. He's all alone and out of food and needs to go back to the main base before he starves or freezes to death. On his way through the blizzard he meets a girl who claims to come from a star and clams she's met the Little Prince and Peter Pan.
It's ridiculous to him at first but as time progresses, he witnesses peculiar events with no rational explanation occurring around him, leaving him with no other option but to believe her.
Even stranger things lead him to suspect that perhaps, this girl truly isn't from this planet. Perhaps, she is the cause of the blizzard and perhaps, she does know how to find Neverland.
"You don't believe me," she said.
I didn't reply, I didn't really have one. It was all absurd. The conversation in itself was a waste of time. She abruptly stood up, the snow crunching beneath her bare feet and her ash-grey hair gently blowing in the wind.
My eyes followed her as she walked passed me. "Where are you going?"
"Come along," she said without turning around. "I'll show you."
I didn't move a muscle. "Show me what?"
She finally turned around when she realised that I'd still not followed her. Pale blue eyes sparkling with defiance and the will to prove me wrong. "Neverland," she said. "We'll go looking for Neverland."
