"But, I've never really kept those promises." He looks down, ashamed of admitting the words that are rolling off his tongue. "I've promised that I would never lie to you," he says, looking up, "look where that got us, though. I've also promised you I'd always love you," he frowns. "Unfortunately, I broke that one too." He digs in his pocket with his other hand. He pulls out a small, black box. "Jon?" I gasp, my free hand flying to my mouth. "What are you doing?" "Look," he chuckles at my reaction, "it's not what you think." My eyes grow wide and I slip my hand away from his. "What are you talking about?" His nervous expression turns into a panicked one. "No!
