'Heroes of Hastovia is a wonderfully whimsical tale of adventure, love and best of all...idiocy! The story follows Karl a lovable idiot and his woeful and often hilarious journey through Flowforn. The story is beautifully written and I often found myself laughing out loud! Others have drawn parallels to Terry Pratchett but for me personally, I feel Mark's style of writing is more in keeping with Road Dahl and his dry observational wit (who happens to be one of my favorite authors) Either way, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel and would highly recommend.' - Pixie Britton (Author of Kill or Cure)
'The plot is good, the characters are lifelike, it's packed with creativity, and is very funny. If you like Terry Pratchett, you'll like this.' - Amazon Top 50 Reviewer.
'Very much enjoyed Karl's adventures - a colourful rabble of characters you really grow to love in a novel laced with dry wit. Wouldn't want to draw lazy comparisons to Pratchett, but the marriage of whimsical characters and a fully-realised but bonkers world, plus the potential to explore more of Hastovia in future instalments (plus the fact I'm lazy) means I'm going to.' - Crunchybackpack

The first part of the epic fantasy quest featuring magic, monsters, morons and more.
Below average twenty-year old Karl has never really fit in. That's okay though, because he lives in Flowforn where people are encouraged to live their dreams, and having failed at so many jobs he lives his dream of doing absolutely nothing. However, when the tyrant Man-Hawk, Arazod shows up and claims Flowforn, Karl flees and his quest begins. His life will never be the same.
It's an adventure filled with heart, about friendship and escaping morons.
