Requiem ▸ Draco Malfoy
❝It's inevitable that I'll do something to hurt you. Forgive me for trying to warn you.❞
Lenore DiMarco hadn't hated Draco Malfoy like her fellow Gryffindor peers. If she were being honest with herself, she felt sorry for him. She'd seen his father, seen what he'd been exposed to in his formative developmental years and what he was expected of from the Death Eaters he called his parents. He was cruel, incredibly argumentative, and sometimes made Lenore want to scream, but she knew it wasn't his fault.
Draco Malfoy didn't want pity. He was fine, his home life was fine, and he was perfectly fine with carrying out the mission he had been assigned. He didn't need Lenore DiMarco with the striking blue eyes to come to his rescue, and he wasn't the one who was going to come to hers. But she's the only one that understands how much pressure is weighing him down. And she's the only spot of brightness in his otherwise darkening life.
