Paradise Fitzgerald was born with a beautiful set of angel wings just like every other cherub in the maternity ward of Celestial General Hospital. But unlike the rest of those squirming little miracles, he was unfortunately saddled with a name like Paradise, which isn't funny no matter how you try to look at it.
His parents should have known that projecting perfection onto their kid would make him lash out someday, and now he's been slapped with a year-long probation sentence in the Guardian Community Service Program for a crime he didn't totally commit.
While Fitz tries to navigate his less-than-perfect situation until he's paid his dues, he starts to run into complications, like how Earth, while being a bonafide shithole, is also kind of fun? And feelings are very weird amorphous things he's not particularly sure what to do with. Also, have you ever tried a grilled cheese? It's insane.
So Fitz is screwed, unless he manages to get out of this whole situation and back to heaven unscathed. Sounds fun, right?
