Alancia is a coloured slave who is holding onto the greatness of her faith and the hope of freedom. The skin she bears is engraved with horrific scars caused by the cat-o-nine tails whip and the painful lashes merely leave haunting nightmares behind. She is property, belonging to a horrendous man that solely cares for money and human possessions. His son Jack Taylor, is a clear reflection of his heartless father and is feared by all in the plantation for he obtains a tremendous power none other beholds. Next to inherit the plantation passed on from generations, Alancia wants nothing to do with such a monstrous person, that is until her faith is questioned. She is determined to make him understand and begins to teach the son about the goodness and love of God. In doing so, an unexpected admiration starts to blossom among one another for the ice melting from his heart is a sight that renders her breathless. Unable to understand the feelings that stirs within her being at his presence, Alancia is aware of what can simply not be. Nonetheless, a prohibited friendship kindles in the darkness of the night and a yearning comparable to none other bestows. {© Copyright All Rights Reserved to author of novel: missproverbs31.}

Lol but there's are actually scientific studies that there could be a God. There are more studies that lean towards there being a God than there not being one.
