In 1868, the town of San Carlos was founded by the Spaniards. The townspeople called it a paradise, with its perfect green scenery and pristine, beautiful sea. But one day, a series of alarming events occurred. These included reports of missing young women who were later found dead and the sudden death of the prodigal son of the town's gobernadorcillo.
In an instant, the townspeople are pulled out of their reverie. It is not the perfect town they once believed it to be; it is far from peaceful. The town is rife with greed, hatred, and bloodshed. In every light, there is darkness. Truth is tired of being kept in the shadows, and Eloise Sandoval, a persistent girl from the future, will dig her way to unveil it.
