Coming back from a vacation, with a gun pointed at her head was definitely not what Jean Saunders expected. Especially seeing a man flying around in the air, claiming to be the city's superhero.

At least he wasn't wearing that embarrassing spandex outfit.

Alas, due to her capability for getting into trouble, the city's superhero eventually recognises her and not in a good way, at all.

Catching a superhero's attention is never a good thing.

Opening and closing his mouth, he made some gestures as if he was trying to speak but he couldn't find the words to convey his message.

"...what are you?" He finally managed to speak and I blinked my eyes at him.

The heck?

Does he think I am some sort of...alien?

It's not like I'm some kind of weird species! What the heck does he think I am?

"I'm human!" I said, narrowing my eyes at him.

Has anyone else ever walked straight into an automatic door because you thought it would open but in reality it was broken? No? Oof

He can read her mind. If only I could do that. It would be so much easier to deal with people. Plus it'll be super cool
It's heterochromia! Yay! I was waiting for a book to have a character with that!
